A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 11-17

We have made it to the middle of January and although part of me is ready for December 2021, the rest is looking forward to spring and summer, and whatever time may bring in the next months. I have no doubt it will be interesting. I mean, 2020 set the bar quite high but I have faith in 2021. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 11-17

2020: The Year in Snapshots

It’s recap time and it is one of the many things about the end of the year that I love. So here it goes, in snapshots. Continue reading 2020: The Year in Snapshots

A Profound Look Back at the Week: November 16-22

You know how sometimes you think “That’s it, it just can’t get any worse than this”? And then it does get worse and you feel this urge to drop everything and go somewhere and hibernate? Yeah, that’s what this week was like. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: November 16-22

A Profound Look Back at the Week: November 9-15

I’m having another profound look in pictures because it’s been a hell of a week and I’m still recuperating from it. Nothing major, just superbusy, stressful and generally unpleasant. The new normal. So here are some autumn pictures. If you’re sick of autumn pictures because of overindulgence, sorry! Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: November 9-15

A Profound Look Back at the Week: November 2-8

To say this has been an eventful week is to say that Terry Pratchett is an alright writer. I’m writing this on Sunday morning and I still expect something else to happen and further fray my nerves. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: November 2-8

A Profound Look Back at the Week: October 26 – November 1

It’s been another fun week in news and I use the word “fun” here the way some people use “literally”. But who cares, the world is going to hell anyway. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: October 26 – November 1

A Profound Look Back at the Week: October 19-25

You know that chilly smell that begins to seep through doors and windows in late October and early November? It’s sharp and it promises below-zero temperatures. Yep, the smell of winter, with a hint of burning wood from the fireplaces of those romantic enough to believe it can kill the cold. Winter is — and I know this will eventually get old but it still hasn’t — coming. (Fun fact: I’m not even a GoT fan. I can take it or leave it. But this is the most wonderfully ominous sentence I’ve come across in a long while, so there.) Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: October 19-25

A Profound Look Back at the Weeks: October 5-18

Talk about a late blog post. I apologise for breaking my self-imposed schedule of profound looks back at weeks but the week between October 5 and 11 was excessively eventful, which left me drained by Sunday when I usually write this post. So you get two weeks in the space of one, whether you like it or not. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Weeks: October 5-18

A Profound Look Back at the Week: Sept 28 – Oct 4

It’s been an eventful week and I regret to say that even its last day has served me a nasty surprise. What’s with this block editor WordPress has been pushing on people?

A Profound Look Back at the Week: July 6-10

Like every good thing in life, holidays have a start and also an end. I regret nothing. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: July 6-10
