A Profound Look at Two Weeks: February 22 – March 7

You know how the less you feel like working the more work the universe throws your way? I’m having this kind of time right now so I neglected my blogging duties last week. This week, self-loathing and careful planning finally did their job so here I am. Of course, I forgot the blog notes I made in the city when we left for the country but who cares. A Profound Look Back at the Week: February 15-21

It has been a week of all sorts of calamities in the latest proof yet that 2021 is not joking and will do its best to outperform 2020. I don’t know about you but I find that thought extremely energising and motivating. You never know how much time you’ve got and all that. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: February 15-21

A Profound Look Back at the Week: February 8-14

It has been another relatively uneventful week and I am extremely pleased to say this. Uneventful is good. Of course, there’s no such thing as all good, so this uneventfulness has made it a bit harder for me to pick what to write about in this round-up of weekly profundities but I’m not complaining. There’s always something profound happening if you look hard enough. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: February 8-14

A Profound Look Back at the Week: February 1-7

The first week of an unusually neat month (starts Monday, end Sunday) was not particularly eventful but it ended with a supernice trip out of town, so I’m having another PLBW in pictures. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: February 1-7

A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 25-31

This week’s profound look is late, for which I apologise, but work has this tendency to pile up sometimes and I value my free time, so it was bound to happen. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 25-31

A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 18-24

It’s been an eventful week, personally and globally speaking, and I’m ending it with a bit more insight into several topics that are of interest to me. I won’t bore you with all of them, I’ll just touch on the more fascinating ones. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 18-24

A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 11-17

We have made it to the middle of January and although part of me is ready for December 2021, the rest is looking forward to spring and summer, and whatever time may bring in the next months. I have no doubt it will be interesting. I mean, 2020 set the bar quite high but I have faith in 2021. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 11-17

A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 4-10

Now that it seems 2021 has indeed told 2020 to hold its beer, at least in some parts of the world, most of the optimism we sent the old year with must have fizzled out. This is sad, really. Resist it. That’s what I’m doing, with mixed success. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week: January 4-10

A Profound Look Back at the Week of Nothingness

Ah, the Nowhere/Nowhen of the last days of one year and the first days of another! It’s like a carnival in the sense of excess in everything you can overindulge in. Me, I focused on sleep and food. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Week of Nothingness

A Profound Look Back at the Last Full Week of 2020

Excess season is upon us and will stay upon us for another week, which is great. We all need a bit of excess from time to time. The only problem with it is that with age the amount of relatively safe excess shrinks while the price you pay for it in hangovers and heartburns increases and this is the most profound message I could scrape off my holiday brain. Life is very unfair. Continue reading A Profound Look Back at the Last Full Week of 2020
